Samsung Galaxy A32

Samsung announced the Galaxy A32 smartphone which will succeed the Galaxy A31 from 2020, April 27. Unlike its predecessor, it will feature a different chipset in Mediatek Helio G80 (12 nm) and debut with Samsung’s new One UI 3.1 on top of Android 11. The A32 will also have the same capacity Li-Po 5000 mAh and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. It is available in the country in colors Black, White, Blue, and Violet (all Awesome ), and in SM-A325F, or SM-A325F/DS models.

Brilliant screen

It basically is the same display as the one we saw on Samsung Galaxy A31 from 2020. Except for this time, you get a 90Hz refresh rate and 800 nits (peak). Immerse yourself in the large 6.4-inch Infinity-U Display of Galaxy A32. This one comes with an Infinity-U super vivid FHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) Super AMOLED. The reason we refer to it as super vivid is because of that 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution packed on a 6.4-inch display panel. And that ~411 ppi density supports our claim. It is also a great display because Infinity Display is a near-bezel-less, full-frontal glass, edge-to-edge screen. This phone has its fingerprint scanner under its display. It is an optical scanner I must add that works amazingly well.

Quad cameras

The Samsung Galaxy A32 quad cameras are probably as big a change from last year’s model. There’s a 64-megapixel quad main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle cam a 5-megapixel macro shooter, and a depth sensor in daylight. The main cam takes decent pictures. There are good sharpness wide dynamic range, low noise, and balanced colors. You can shoot videos only up to 1080p@30fps here which is a bit surprising. Maybe one of the compromises to achieve Galaxy A32’s price in Kenya.

Samsung Galaxy A32 has a 20 MP, f/2.2, (wide) selfie camera. It is the kind that produces attention-grabbing selfies because of its high-resolution photos. Selfies turn out good with nice colors. Why dynamic range and plenty of detail. Sharpness and dynamic range are both quite good making this a significant upgrade.

Platform & performance

In Kenya, Samsung Galaxy A32 is available in one variant concerning internal storage and memory. This one variant is are 128GB with 6GB RAM. When you boot it up it will remind you that it is an Android 11 powered device then later on that it has One UI 3.0. Samsung’s latest One UI 3.1 over Android 11 has been included on Galaxy A32.

Some of the new features include a dark mode for your menus and a new set of gestures for navigation. Here, you swipe from the sides to go back rather than swiping from the bottom like before. But the old options are still there if you want. You also have edge panels here, which can be pretty handy swiping on the edge of the screen will bring you to a customizable space for shortcuts. At the heart of the Galaxy A32, is a Mediatek Helio G80 (12 nm) chipset.

The phone is also powered by a Mediatek Helio G80 (12 nm) chipset and an Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU. By the way, there is a dedicated slot for the SD card here in the event the internal storage limits you one way or the other. Finally, under the hood is a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.
